We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

• As Development Engineer, you will design and build the model execution platform for Finance IT using MSSQL, Python, VBA, Excel, No code low code platforms

• You will work with the HSBC Solution architect, product owner and lead engineer to build series of Finance IT solutions using MSSQL, Python, VBA, Excel.

• You are expected to build DevOps pipeline for continuous integration and deployment to various environments

• You will be part of an agile team, take on complex problems and design and code.

• You are not only expected to deliver your area but contribute to the overall product space.

• You are expected to participate in the technical innovation within your product area.

• Make decisions within a project, guide and coach team on technical expertise and known practices and precedents

• Ensure the use of Python, Java and similar technology reduces lead time to delivery and aligns to overall Group strategic direction so that cross-functional development is usable.

To be successful in this role, meet all or some of following requirements

• Primary Skills & Criteria [Mandatory] : Minimum IT Work Experience: 10 years. Solid experience in writing design specification for IT controlled solution in MSSQL, Python, VBA, Excel
• Good knowledge of Database and Scripting will be required especially with MSSQL, VBA, Python in building and maintaining Finance IT solutions. Frameworks/Architecture: Django, React & Exposure to tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, etc

• Good to Have Skills : DevOps and Agile engineering practitioner, test driven development. Design should help embed standard processes, systems and operational models into the BAU approach for end-to-end execution of stress tests, enabling the organisation to leverage HSBC’s global economies of scale

• Non-Technical Requirements : Candidate should be able to lead and track technical tasks, production issues independently and present status to management. Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Flexibility – Project demands lot of flexibility for production support and weekend activities.

• Accountability – You will be accountable to ensure smooth production process.

• Prior Experience in Production Support is a must i.e. Incident Management, Change Request, etc
